Food lover, health enthusiast and founder of the popular blog and social media outlet Buck Naked Paleo, Kirsten Buck is a recipe developer and food stylist from Winnipeg. She is also a Certified Holistic Nutritionist graduating from The Canadian School of Natural Nutrition in Ottawa, Ontario where she learned how food choices affect our bodies and how we can use it to keep the body’s systems in balance.
She cooks with healthy seasonal ingredients as much as possible and her recipes are always grain free and dairy free. Much of what she uses can also be found at any Canadian grocery store! Kirsten is a firm believer in supporting local. She likes to visit local organic farms during the growing season to see where her food is coming from and lend a helping hand. Q. Favourite green beauty hack?
A. My favourite green beauty hack is mixing equal parts matcha green tea power + raw honey + fresh aloe vera to form a paste for a natural face mask. leave it on for 15 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water!
Q. Go-to healthy snack?
A. I love having a pitted Medjool date stuffed with almond butter. I also add coconut flakes/sea salt on top!
Q. Piece of advice you’d give your 20-year-old self?
A. “I think it’s time to stop cutting your own hair. You have a mullet.”
Q. Netflix series you recently binge-watched?
A. Mind Hunter! I’m a huge fan of crime shows/mysteries.
